Letsopinion was created in the year 2000. The original business idea was built on the thought of letting people, through the internet, create opinion in the local community as well as in the great wide world. Unfortunately, the market for venture capital died the very same year, putting the idea back on the shelf.
At the same time a number of similar sites were started, mostly in the US. Letsopinion’s business idea was contemporary with those of vote.com and speakout.com. Back then as well as now the company was working with consultant services for political organizations, and leadership development.
During 2002 Letsopinion idled and invested a lot of money as a venture capital company, in an e-democracy company. Unfortenately that company expired during 2003 and Letsopinion lost a lot of money.
In 2005 the board at that time decided to continue in the e-participation sector by starting to develop an own web-based tool.
In 2007 Letsopinion began the programming part of the development of Dezide, in Bulgaria.
And now, in a world full of climate discussions, we can also see another positive effect of using web-based tools - it reduses travelling which reduces the Co2 emissions!
